Bo Nix found a short touchdown pass and the running back contributed another ground touchdown in the final period as the Broncos erased a two-touchdown disadvantage to deliver the Philadelphia Eagles their first loss of the campaign. Denver's defense batted down the Eagles quarterback's last-gasp pass on the contest's last snap to hand the Super Bowl champions to just their second defeat in their last 22 games. Denver (three wins and two losses) caught a huge break in their rally when the Philadelphia had a late fourth-down conversion nullified on an illegal shift penalty called on star ball carrier Barkley.
CJ Stroud threw for 244 yards and four touchdowns, and Houston (2-3) strolled to a decisive victory over a depleted Baltimore team, matching both the biggest away victory in Texans' history and the most lopsided home loss in Baltimore's annals. The Ravens (one win and four losses) were without two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson, and that was not their sole issue. Key defenders Kyle Hamilton, Roquan Smith and Marlon Humphrey all missed the game, and the Ravens already were depleted on defense because of a cervical issue that concluded Nnamdi Madubuike's season. The Ravens were also without All-Pro fullback Patrick Ricard and tackle Ronnie Stanley.
Jonathan Taylor ran for three rushing scores and a two-pointer, and the quarterback threw two scoring throws as the Colts overwhelmed the Las Vegas Raiders. The 34-point margin was Indy's largest since 2013. The quarterback completed 20 passes out of 29 attempts for 212 yards and improved to 4-1 as the starting quarterback this season, exceeding his combined victory total over the previous two years with the Giants. The running back carried 17 attempts for 66 yards and caught three receptions for 20 yards. The Colts converted a blocked punt, two interceptions and a turnover on downs into touchdowns. The Raiders fell to four wins and one loss.
Dak Prescott threw four touchdown passes, leading the Cowboys to a comfortable win over the Jets. The Cowboys put points on the board on two 90-yard drives in the second period, even with being without four starters on the blocking unit. Javonte Williams gained 135 yards and a score and also caught a receiving touchdown. The Cowboys, now two wins, two losses, and a tie, bounced back from a 40-40 tie against Green Bay last week. New York are still without a victory at zero wins and five losses in Aaron Glenn's first season as head coach.
Minnesota wideout Addison grabbed a short touchdown pass from the quarterback with under half a minute left to secure Minnesota a win over the Cleveland Browns at the UK venue. The 10-play, 80-yard drive gave the Vikings (3-2) a much-needed win on their overseas journey, which started with a narrow defeat to the Pittsburgh in Dublin last Sunday. It also spoiled Dillon Gabriel's first NFL start, as the Browns rookie positioned his squad (one win and four losses) in position to win by passing for two scores. Fellow rookie Judkins rushed for 110 rushing yards on 23 attempts. The quarterback shook off an arm issue that temporarily sent him to the locker room and directed two scoring drives in the second half.
Carolina's quarterback passed for two scores and the running back rushed for 206 yards and a score as the Panthers came back against the Miami Dolphins in their home stadium. Young's short pass to the first-year receiver with 1:59 to play gave the Carolina (two wins and three losses) the decisive advantage as they equaled the largest comeback to win a game in franchise history by erasing a 17-point hole. Young had a horrific first quarter, but he ended up 19 completions on 30 attempts for 198 passing yards with an interception. Dowdle, replacing injured Chuba Hubbard, did his damage on the run on 23 attempts, coming up four yards of matching the team's all-time rushing mark. The Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa completed 27 passes out of 36 for 256 yards with three scores and Jaylen Waddle gained 110 receiving yards on six catches and added a touchdown, but the Miami (one win and four losses) fell to 0-3 in road games.
New Orleans' quarterback threw a long touchdown to Rashid Shaheed, safety Jordan Howden returned a fumble 86 yards for a score, and the Saints beat the error-prone Giants for the New Orleans' initial win under rookie coach Kellen Moore. The QB earned his maiden win in 11 career starts, throwing for 225 yards without any mistakes. Giants rookie QB Dart, who won his first career start last week, passed for 202 passing yards and two touchdowns, but also turned the ball over on three occasions. The Giants turned the ball over five times in all, none more costly than when Bryan Bresee forced a fumble from ball carrier Skattebo, resulting in Howden's touchdown. Each squad are one win and four losses.
