Eyewitness Describes Moment That 'Monster' Attacked Northern Manchester Jewish House of Worship

A man who helped barricading a Jewish temple in the Manchester area has described how a violent incident occurred, resulting in the loss of two Jewish individuals.

On Thursday morning, Alan Levy was inside the worship center when an attacker rammed a car into and stabbed attendees assembling for a observance to observe Yom Kippur.

Mr Levy stated that the 'evil' attacker attempted to bash down the entrances of the building, and he recalled securing the building with additional worshippers.

Two individuals, aged 53 and 66 died in the violence on the morning, while three others were wounded while trying to protect others.

Eyewitness Account of the Violence

Mr Levy, who acts as a leader at the synagogue, explained holding the doors and noted that the assailant wielded sharp objects and outdoor items to attempt entry.

I observed a terrifying individual shoulder charge in the front doors, seeking to force them open holding a sharp weapon," he told reporters.

The sole statement I heard was him saying 'this is what you're going to get for killing our children'.

Just those words I heard him say. We stood inside the building and we were repeating 'we are not letting this man in'.

He appeared as a deranged, evil monster."

Memorial Service Observed for Victim

The remarks coincided with many individuals took part in the memorial for Mr Cravitz.

Family members, attendees from the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation including Rabbi Daniel Walker, and members of the Jewish population assembled in the local area to pay their respects.

Attendees occupied the cemetery forecourt, with a number gathering in the open the chapel in the downpour, listening to the service and eulogy over audio systems.

In a message shared on Friday, Mr Cravitz's family expressed that he was always willing to assist.

Police Probe and Apprehensions

Local authorities indicated that one victim appeared to have been hit by law enforcement rounds as they shot the attacker soon after the alarm was raised.

Mr Daulby, who was recognized by his relatives as a "hero", was participating in a ceremony at the synagogue when the violence began.

He had been a dear family member, devoted uncle to his several nieces and a nephew and a cherished cousin," his family noted.

Relatives are shocked by the sudden passing of a kind and humble individual.

"His final act showed immense heroism and he will forever be remembered for his courageous effort."

Several arrests were conducted in regarding the attack, and authorities stated that several individuals were under arrest on Sunday morning.

The detained were apprehended for terrorism-related activities.

Those arrested are a pair of males, in their 30s and detained in the local area; a female in her 60s detained locally; and a 46-year-old woman detained in another location.

Other suspects were let go with no additional charges, police stated on Saturday.
